For one of our global successful customers we are looking for a:

2x (Senior) Sourcing Manager Packaging (m/f/d)

As a strategic purchasing department, they are responsible for all direct production materials of all  production sites worldwide.

The Senior Sourcing Manager Packaging (m/f/d) develops strategies within the scope of supplier management on his/her own responsibility. He/she is responsible for the identification and selection of suitable suppliers. On this basis, the Senior Sourcing Manager Packaging (m/f/d) actively leads international negotiations and implements the results in different types of contracts (e.g., project and supply contracts).

Your assignments

• Material group management taking into account global and regional requirements
• Cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders (e.g., active participation in production site demand planning)
• Supplier Management
• Control of RFx processes (requests, tenders, etc.), evaluation of results
• Preparation and execution of international contract negotiations
• Regular worldwide supplier visits (business reviews, technical meetings and participation in trade fairs and exhibitions)
• Reporting and purchasing controlling: participation in regular management reporting tasks, budget planning and forecast progress control
• Project management: planning and management of procurement projects, based on market research on project-relevant sources of supply
• Participation in process optimization initiatives (e.g., software implementation)

Your profile

• Successfully completed master's degree/diploma in business administration, engineering, and/or natural sciences
• At least 5 years of professional experience in procurement, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on packaging materials
• Excellent negotiation skills and in-depth knowledge of contract law and related obligations
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., GMP, FDA)
• Advanced IT skills (Business Intelligence, SAP BW)
• Independence and entrepreneurial mindset
• Analytical strength and strategic thinking
• Excellent communication skills in an international environment and willingness to work in teams
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Cultural sensitivity
• Willingness to travel (up to 30%)
